Exciting News: Raw Honey Co. Opens a Brand-New Apiary
We are delighted to announce the opening of a brand-new apiary as part of the continued growth of Raw Honey Co.
This is a significant milestone for our business and an important step towards our goal of producing more high-quality British honey while supporting healthy populations of honey bees across the local area.
Why We Have Opened a New Apiary
As demand for locally produced raw honey continues to grow, expanding our apiary network allows us to increase the number of honey bee colonies we manage while ensuring each colony has access to excellent forage and plenty of space to thrive.
The location of an apiary plays a crucial role in the health and productivity of honey bees. When selecting a new site, we look for areas rich in wildflowers, trees, hedgerows, gardens and other natural nectar sources that provide bees with a diverse and nutritious diet throughout the season.
Our new apiary provides exactly that.
Supporting Honey Bees and Pollinators
Honey bees are among the most important pollinators in the United Kingdom. Every day, thousands of worker bees leave the hive in search of nectar and pollen, helping to pollinate a wide range of flowering plants, crops, fruit trees and wildflowers.
A strong colony can contain tens of thousands of bees during the height of summer, with each worker making multiple foraging trips every day. Together, these bees contribute significantly to local biodiversity and the wider ecosystem.
By opening this new apiary, we are helping to support more honey bee colonies and contribute positively to pollination within the surrounding area.
Producing Pure British Raw Honey
At Raw Honey Co., we are passionate about producing genuine British honey that is as natural as possible.
Our honey is harvested directly from our hives and carefully extracted to preserve its natural characteristics. Unlike many imported honey products, our honey is not blended from multiple countries or heavily processed before reaching customers.
The United Kingdom imports the vast majority of the honey consumed each year, often from a variety of international sources. We believe consumers deserve access to locally produced honey where the origin is known and the beekeeper is directly involved in every stage of production.
Every jar of Raw Honey Co. honey can be traced back to our own bees and apiaries.
The Future of Raw Honey Co.
The opening of this new apiary is only the beginning.
We have ambitious plans for continued growth, with additional colonies, new apiary locations and increased honey production all forming part of our long-term vision. Our aim is to supply more local customers with high-quality British honey while maintaining the highest standards of bee welfare and husbandry.
We are incredibly excited about what the future holds and look forward to sharing regular updates from our apiaries, honey harvests and beekeeping activities.
